About Me

My name is Gabriela Gutierrez, and I am currently an art student at George Mason University. I was born in Bolivia and imigrated to the US in 2016. I am a multimedia artist with a focus on painting, sculpture and photography. I enjoy working with kids and I'm currently a prospective art teacher.

My work focuses on understanding the identity journey. As an immigrant I came to understand how culture, traditions, circumstances, and events in our life shape us as individuals. I enjoy exploring materials on my sculptural work and had recently been exploring the medium of fabric on painting.
